Getting things ready…
You need the Steam app (Windows, macOS or Linux) or a browser signed in to your Steam account.
Start the Steam app and sign in to the account you play on.
In the top menu choose Games, then “Activate a Product on Steam…”. In a browser, open the activation link on your order page instead.
Paste the key exactly as shown (with the dashes) and confirm.
The game appears in your library and can be downloaded right away.
In Steam open your account name → “Account details” → “Add funds to your Steam Wallet”.
Choose “Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code” and enter the code.
The amount is added to your Steam Wallet.
Check for mixed-up characters (0/O, 1/I) and paste the key rather than typing it.
This account already has the game. Don’t reveal more keys; contact support if you bought a duplicate.
The key’s activation region doesn’t match your account country. Contact support; we help if the region was shown incorrectly.
Steam limits failed attempts for about an hour. Wait, then try again with the key pasted exactly.
Still stuck? Contact support with a screenshot of the message. We replace a key that doesn’t work or refund you.
